Societe Brewing Company's 1st Anniversary

Societe Brewing turned one, and we were more than delighted to celebrate that momentous occasion with them. Leading up to the event, the first day and sessions had already sold out, and the second day followed closely behind. There was no doubt, that the love and beers were flowing at the brewery all weekend long. As you walked in the doors, you were automatically transported into an old timey ambiance, and I could not get enough of checking out the old photo prints, and decor. Speaking of photos, one of the back walls had a slideshow running through the sepia toned photos of all of the guests dressed up in costumes, at their in house photo booth.

The hot summer afternoon could not have been greeted in a more refreshing way. We started off with a glass of their Harlot Belgian Pale Ale style beer. A very crisp and clean beer, which was more than easy to drink.

For those that were interested, Co-founder and brewer Doug Constantiner led a group around on a tour of the brewery, and behind their process. It was very refreshing to me, and one of my favorite parts was visiting the barrel room filled with their aging sour beers.

We ventured to the bar to grab a glass of their Debutaunte beer, which we were told would pair beautifully with the Tribute pies that were being served outside.

Indeed it did. We enjoyed slices of their classic pepperoni, Margherita, and dreamy white pizza. Each slice was delicious, but me as a huge fan of white pizzas, that just happens to be the one that I still can't stop thinking about. Tribute pizza, you are doing wonderful things, we can't wait to see you again soon!

The afternoon carried on with great conversation, and we had to get just one last beer in. We ended on a fantastic note with their Widow Belgian strong dark ale. This was basically my dessert portion, and I savored every last sip.
